A Bit About Jack and the Juice

I once had the opportunity to meet Mr. Jack in person in 1989 at the "Top Six" tournament on Lake Eufaula. I had little luck in pre-tournament fishing and was quite frustrated leading up to the tournament. An older gentleman approached me in the motel parking lot at the lake and was telling me about this wonderful homemade fish attractant he had developed while at a family outing on the lake. He stated that he caught his grandchildren feeding bass spaghetti noodles which contained sauce from his wife’s spaghetti receipt. He informed me that he thought it was the garlic that his wife used in large quantities in the recipe. Needless to say I was quite skeptical of his story. However, he seemed to be an honest man and was a joy to talk too. I informed him of the tough time I had trying to locate and catch fish. He went to the tool box on his truck and gave me a bottle of his new recipe “Garlic”. He stated that once the bass tasted the juice they would not let go.

The next day I was paired with a nice fellow from North Georgia. He was a very aggressive jig fisherman and we were fishing very shallow water. I was fishing a Zoom watermelon seed lizard which I drenched with Jack’s Garlic
formula. Within two hours I had a limit and was culling fish. The fellow in the front of the boat finally asked me what the smell was and what I was using. I informed him I was using Jack’s Juice. He stated he was also using Jack’s formula, but commented his did not smell like mine. I told him Jack had a new formula out. Needless to say I had a great time that weekend. I lost one fish that wrapped up on a stump. Jack was true to his word that if they got it in their mouth they were going to love the taste.  The first day I was in the top 50 of around 500 fishermen. Although it has been nearly 20 years, I will always remember Mr. Jack and the kindness that he showed me. The product definitely works and I highly recommend it. My favorite is the Garlic!!!
